Of course, the only time I actually feel like updating this blog is when I have 4324092384 other million things to do. This blog hasn't seen a proper picture in forever, and I have so many things to post. Oh well, the magic of Facebook. =)

Last semester of my degree, then I'll be a graduate. Can you imagine it's 4 years since we've left high school? I probably wouldn't imagine where I am now back then, that I would be here. Probably, I wouldn't imagine that I am where I am now a year ago.

Past few weeks have been absolutely hectic, filled with assignments. Originally had FOUR freaking assignments due in the same week, not funny. Tuesday, Thursday, and two on Friday. Thank god for wonderful and understanding lecturers, one gave me an extension when I asked and another just decided to extend the entire deadline by a whole week.

If not, Amelia would be dead meat.

Passing up the last assignment in my first round of battle later today. Hopefully, I win the war in the long run. Three more assignments and one test. GOGOGO! But then again, after that are exams. T_T

Can't wait to get back to Malaysia! Though, I think my life would feel strange without my daily hour of gym and weekly doses of Zumba and Pilates. And dance! Been pretty involved in stuff this semester, I like it. Gets me moving my lazy ass, and I can start dreaming of my ideal tummy. Speaking of which, I think it's getting a little toned! Hopefully it's not my imagination.

After 6 weeks of hourly gym, I can now see the improvements. The weakling me who died after 10 minutes of jogging in Malaysia is no more! I can now jog for 30 minutes if I push myself. But then again, that's on a treadmill. Haven't tried outdoor jogging. I would try, if it wasn't so cold.

Proper post with pics will come...probably in a very long time. Not like anyone still reads this blog anyway.

Been going to Zumba the last few weeks, it is the bomb! Seriously thinking of joining a gym when I get back to Malaysia for that two months so that i don't lose any strength/stamina. Right now, I can actually see results of being hardworking the past few weeks!

Never knew that some places on my arms had muscles, or even my legs. D: And my stomach is soosososos much flatter than after the winter holidays where I ate and ate and ate like a pig.

The trip was good, and it was great waking up late today =D

Survived that butt-cramping torture of sitting in the car for nearly 12 hours, which is NUTS. Back pain, butt pain, neck pain.

But it was one heck of an experience.

At least we had our human jukebox to entertain us in the car. ;)

Because we are heading out on our madness 7 hour drive to Canberra, and another 3ish hour drive to Sydney the next day. At what time?

Okay, not really complaining since I don't have to touch the wheel at all, plus the fact that I sleep rather well in moving vehicles, airplanes included (I was probably the only one who had a nice long nap on the 7 hour flight back to Melbourne).

Probably this is the time when I'm glad for my small stature as I fit comfortably into any seat. Add in the fact that the people in the car have the perfect shoulder heights (Ash and Nick!!) for me to fall asleep on! Hahahaha. Hope they don't mind the weight of my head though. D:

Feeling rather emotional and nostalgic today.

Hmm, looking back at the Facebook of the people I met here makes me wonder how we all ever went through out first year of uni without even knowing each other, when now, all we do see are each other. Probably one of the reasons I felt a little weird being home was because that here, there are no rules and everyone's a equal, I don't have to report to anybody.

Going out, I don't have to report to anybody, or even be back by a certain time. Sure I do have some responsibilities (COOKING!) and stuff, but most of the time, I'm not expected to do anything. I can just step out of the house, run out, go wherever, and I don't have to worry about whether my mom will be wondering where I've gone.

Right now, feeling stupid and idiotic for even worrying and thinking about things that have been done. It's really dumb to feel sad over this kind of things, but that only reinforces the fact that perhaps I wasn't really important enough to be remembered, or even do something for. All talk. It's probably unfair to see the negative side of things, but I don't really care. No one has ever made me feel as inadequate and incompetent as you did.

I should stop. Start over, breathe, calm down. And wipe this clean.

Here I am at 2am in the morning. I'm hungry, which is kind of normal for me. Been eating those damn addicting Maltesers. Holy mother of god they are good.

I really wouldn't have imagined myself in this current position I'm in, but you know what, it seems to be working out fine. Getting used to it is one thing, but perhaps, I didn't feel that there was anything to get used to. Maybe there really wasn't anything supporting me.

What masters should I do? Seriously considering to do a masters in applied finance, but I'm super afraid it's going to be hard and I don't have the proper finance background to do it, plus it's only a year. An alternative would be masters in banking and finance, or worse come to worst, accounting *vomits blood*.

10 days or so to results. Jeng jeng jeng! I would believe that I won't fail any of my subjects, but whether I can get my expected results is another thing. *scared*

Well, I WAS supposed to be in NZ at this time though. Sadly, that ash cloud destroyed that dream sigh.

Yesterday was a good day though. And today was a day to relax. Not sure what we're gonna do tomorrow, but we'll just go and have fun as we go?

Life's kind of a bitch.

Firstly, I have a goddamn huge pimple thing which is not a pimple but looks more like a bee sting but I'm sure I would have noticed it but everyone who sees it asks immediately if I've been to a hospital, but no way in hell am I going there blary expensive piece of shit.

Really hope it heals without any scars, it's been popping and I've been squeezing blood and pus out, disgusting, I know, just be glad I took no pictures. I somewhat know how my face would like like 1/4 covered in blood.

On the funny side, was out with Derk Hua the other day. Apparently there were people looking at me, then turning to glare at him HEHE. Domestic violence? People thought I really looked punched, especially when I put my sunglasses on, then I looked like I was in a gang-fight.

And another of life's bitchiness, that bloody ash cloud disrupting my now cancelled flight to New Zealand, at least we're getting all our money back. BITCH max, was so looking forward to NZ, and seeing Kevin!! Damn shit. Flying another day would be out of the question, bloody mah fun to redo our accomodation and planning a new flight day. Sheeeeeeeeeeet.

Moving onnnnn, exams were pretty okay I guess, overall. Though I didn't get tips like last semester where I just studied revision slides (like a boss!), this semester's papers were pretty doable. Studied the ENTIRE lecture slides for Macropolicy, Ad Management and Market Research Methods, thanks to the lack of revision slides. I wonder how I did it. Man Comm was the best, for long answer questions, we already pretty much knew what was coming out, while for the short answer questions, it was just copy and paste from the unit objectives. Best paper ever, except for the writing non-stop part. T_T

I have NO idea why I even studied and memorised shit for Ad Management. NO shit came out from the lecture slides, and there's NO textbook! The question seriously just asked some stuff which could be bullshitted nonstop, drawing examples from case studies and our assignment. =.=

Imagine though, you get a three or four line question, basically asking you to describe examples of advertising on how they broke through competitive clutter. And BAM, that's 50 marks outta hundred. Wrote like a bitch of 2 pages plus, and I highly doubt mine was one of the longest answers. Most of the people in this subject left like super early. Lul. Looked behing after I was done, the seats were mostly empty.

Okay, since my sad case of a fail New Zealand trip was cancelled, I'm going to DFO for some shopping!!!! Retail therapy, though I HOPE I don't buy much lol. I don't think I will. ><

After 4 strenuous, gruesome papers, it's over baby! (exaggerated, it was doable)

Last paper was a whole load of bullshit vomited out into that exam booklet. Whatever I memorised from the lecture slides, only one or two things were applicable. Other than that, say hi to pure bullshit. Like, seriously. They gave use like a three or four line question which was worth like, 50 marks??? And that's half the paper. Homg. Hopefully I bullshitted well enough. *crosses fingers*

Right now in Hua's place, get a bigass bed all to myself tee hee. So nice to shower in their place. One thing I miss about my bathroom in Malaysia, the shower head and take down and hold closer to my body hehehe. Like that only the warm water syiok. X)

Studying and staying on campus really makes a person do sohai things.

Watching videos of previous..."performances" amuses the heck out of me, and I wonder what on earth were we thinking when we did all these nonsense. Bursting out randomly in song is really fun as well. Especially when all the people in the house already expect you to do something as ridiculous as that.

I really should be studying and memorising my market research methods now. Ho hum, but since the paper's in the afternoon, I don't quite get that same sense of urgency, which is not good.

Super excited for exams to be over!!

After my last paper, heading down to meet Jade (hopefully), then flying off to New Zealand (can see Sheepie!) and hopefully exploring the area around Melbourne (Daniel volunteered to drive us around! =D), a week in Perth to see Su-lyn and whoever else is in Perth, plus hopefully a snow trip to Mt. Baw Baw! So many things to do. So happy.

But of course, I would still somewhat rather be flying back to Malaysia.

My hand died and went to hell today.

I think this is the second ever exam that I wrote non-stop from the time the invigilator said "You may now fill in the attendance sheet bla bla bla" till the time he said "Please put down your pens". Imagine spending half a bloody freaking hour writing down two whole pages of pure vomit. Eeps. Then you have another half an hour for another freaking long ass essay, which then leaves you with 12 minutes each for 5 one page answers.

Holy mother of god.

On the bright side, most of the questions were already anticipated, our wonderful tutors and lecturers gave the bestest hints ever, if they were even considered hints. Additionally, the short answer questions were all taken directly from the learning objectives, SCORE.

Need about thirty something over 40 to get my HD in this subject though, which is gonna be hard. =(

Been procrastinating the whole day, and I now have 3 and a half days to cover 12 weeks of Marketing Research Methods. Dai.

For the past few days, I've been fervently studying Managerial Communication so that I have 7 days to study for Macroeconomics Policy. Although I have allocated myself such a magnificent amount of time, I realised that having such a magnificent amount of time is what drives me to be lazy, and subsequently ignore the textbook like I'm currently doing.

Painted my fingernails yesterday, now they're a wonderful shade of blue and purple. One just chipped. =( And I just spent the last ten minutes doing my nails omg. DAI.

I wish I can remember as much information as there is nonsense in my head, I'll probably memorise like 10 textbooks or something. D:

Had a good week, all the assignments that I got back this week were HD. Even the one I thought I totally died in, HD. Love the leniency. I gave my worst EVER presentation the other day, and I still somehow managed to get a D. Not complaining though.

The last few months

Hi all again!

Here's an attempt to start blogging again, after months and months of blog neglect. Changed the colour a bit to get motivated. But right now, my real motivation is procrastination of studying. Been getting really good at that, started playing Harvest Moon a few days ago. SIGH.

Last few weeks had been assignment hell, with assignments due every few days. Glad I survived that. So far, results from that week have been good, HD for the assignment I suffered and bullshitted the most, and a 38/40 for my macropolicy test. Now hoping this result will keep up for the next two assignments I'll be getting back over the next two days. *fingers crossed*

I have flown back to my early secondary school days, where I was utterly obsessed with Gackt. And I am again reminded why I am. His singing and music is just awesome tee hee.

Been really really busy with assignments the past week, as well as during the mid sem break. The mid sem break didn't even seem anything like a mid-sem break, EVERYDAY was spent on assignment or uni-related stuff.

Was preparing for my presentation with my oh-so-wonderful groupmates who do their work. Alot of work. My butt la. At least the other guy is good. Zaza.

Presentation turned out not bad I guess. Wasn't fully prepared, and I think I rambled horribly again. Oh well. At least we got D. Which is good. =)

Amelia's blogging motivation has died.

It has been squashed by overwhelming thoughts of 3k words assignments, two of them, plus a work placement seminar. Not only that, but I occasionally get to overhear conversations right outside my door. Thanks. I really need to hear you two speaking.

Also, if some idiot leaves the thingy on in the laundry machine overnight, I have an awesome vibrating/rumbling sound throughout my whole room. Like hello. It's 2 freaking am. The dryer and the washing machine doesn't make as much noise as that vent thingy. Do your laundry for all I care, but just don't turn that damn vent thing on.

I am also happily pretending that my exams do NOT start on the 29th, what more with a double paper in one day. Of course, it isn't going to happen. Nope. I don't have papers on the 10th and 16th as well. I will pass uni without taking a single examination. Sounds great?

My MSN is pmsing. No idea why it hands. Maybe it'll be better if I restart the computer. Which I will do after this post.

Went for a jog in the awesome weather today. Only redeeming thing in this whole day. Aside from my fish carbonara which turned out quite well. Nomnomnom. Anyway, I fail at jogging. My stamina is at an all time low. HOWEVER, I still do remember most of the patterns, which is good, considering I haven't even though about them for the last couple of weeks.

It's a miracle.

For the second time in my life, ever, I have finished an assignment wayyyyyy ahead of time.

Not that I wanted to, but because if I don't, I'm screwed. I have 1k words due 20th (DONE!), 3k words due that Wed, a mid sem break, then 2 3k words assignments.

Which means 10k words over a span of three weeks. The mid sem break will be more of a "FINISH ASSIGNMENT OMG DIE" week. =( Wish me luck. And interesting events are happening during these few hellish weeks zomgggg. I wanna goooooo.

Cooked myself steak today! Much better than the first attempt. Managed to get it to a mediumish kind of cooked, so it was all good. =D

Bad side? I had that, brocolli, cauliflower and TWO potatoes, and I'm still searching for food. I'm trying not to touch my third Arnott's shortbread cream biscuit ahahah.

Uploaded the past few events on Facebook, and I don't think I'll have time to blog about it right now (unless I procrastinate work, which I am kind of doing).

Ho hum, I've got around 20 minutes more before it's time to go for class.

So I shall spam you with some inane update.

Finished my blardy tourism marketing assignment 1 yesterday, super relieved when the presentation was over. It was like damn long since I've had a proper presentation, I totally forgot how to do one. Presenting and keeping eye contact was hard, all of their faces were like "HUH WTH IS SHE TALKING".

LOL.

But but but Imma die. Like I have 2 assignments due Week 10 and two Week 11 after the mid sem break. Zomggg. And all of them are like 3000 words assignments. Two of them, individual. ARGH. *pulls hair out*

Can't wait for exams to be over! Then it'll be off to Sydney, chocolate/souvenir shopping AND AND AND I'll be back in Malaysia! Then I can has proper date with Evie. ;) Heee, someone's gonna merajuk when he reads this.

Been colouring with colour pencils! Joined this mandala creation class, and it's actually quite fun haha. I get to draw shapes and stuff, release my inner child! And colour! Omg I like colouring haha. Will post up a picture of what I've coloured. =)

Went grocery shopping the other day! Almost half of what I spent was on junkfood! *guilty* And it was mother heavy dragging back all the things, even if I did have a trolley. 2kg of potatoes, 2L of milk, 3x 1L of milk. Zomg. But I don't think we'll be going back for another week plus, got enough to last quite long.

I've been drinking alot of milk. Like, not pure milk. I buy milk, drinking chocolate, and voila, chocolate milk. Or hot chocolate <3s. Bought ice cream the other day! I know it's still cold, but today was surprisingly warm! Like I had that happy feeling coz of the weather haha. Though I thought it would be freezing ass cold cause the wind woke me up.

MALAYSIA'S MERDEKA!!!

Not that I'm a patriotic person or anything. Independence yo. Still, I'm not a patriotic person. Maybe a little bit. But not alot. X)

So we decided to "celebrate" by going down to the city to destress after exams and assignments. I had a macroecons exam the next day, but it was open book so pfft.

We were supposed to go museums and take photos and stuff like that. But girls being girls, we got distracted by a DFO in Spencer's Street, Southern Cross Station. SHOPPINGGGG. Not that I bought alot.

Flats from Rubi, just to try out. Heard the quality sucks, but it was $5.

This is a Guess shop.

I think things there are relatively cheap? A pair of jeans was around $40-$50 I think, and tops were going for $20-$30. Still, I wouldn't pay so much because I convert back hahaa. Maybe if I get a job then I'll splurge, just a little. If I ever do get a job, fail.

Went to tapao cupcakes from Little Cupcakes!

Each of us bought something, except for Kingston. We were dragging the damn cupcakes around from about 4 or 5 pm till the time we got in the train to head back. Miraculously, my cupcakes didn't fall over hahaha. Pro-ness.

The other day, I had my very very first microwaveable meal! Not bad, considering I lasted a few weeks without resorting to this kind of food, not counting instant noodles. xD

It was not bad, but not filling enough. Next time, I have to eat TWO of these to be full, seriously. It's just not enough for my appetite now. Maybe back in Malaysia I would have been happy with it, but here, no way. NOT ENOUGH.

So, MRS had another inter-house event the other day. MASTERCHEF.

Basically, all we had to do was prepare an entree, main and dessert for three people. Under the cost of $50. Which was do-able. I helped out! Not in the cooking part though, just in the odd-jobs and whatever else they needed me to do.

People chaotically finding their ingredients.

I helped out with making the entree and dessert. No pictures of that time, was too busy doing errands like cracking eggs and whatnot. I cracked NINE eggs that day. Never before had I seen so many egg yolks in one bowl hahaha.

We had a 2 hour time limit, and two kitchens side by side. So it was all good. The other kitchen prepared the mains.

End result. It's really really good.

The food. Somehow, the entree, main and dessert didn't go with each other haha.

Overall, Red house won first place, a super comeback from their last place haha. They were super gung ho about getting back their points lol.

I cooked lotus soup! Boiled the chicken + chicken bones. Then I tore out the chicken meat to fry so that it wouldn't be tasteless when I ate it. I feel smart.

It was actually pretty good.

Today's McD's breakfast was a FAIL. Tsi Yin was supposed to call me and wake me up. Phone call went something like this.

And back we went into the depths of slumber. I woke up at 1pm hahahaha. Fail.
